Welcome to the present moment

My name is Pilar Gógar, I am a fine artist and since 2015 I've been working on creating paintings inspired by the cosmos.

Galaxies, nebulae, stars, planets, take part of the language I work with.

Many of us agree that the universe is beautiful and fascinating. Those features would be enough to capture it through art; that is why painters of all ages have used nature as a source of inspiration.

However, I think there is something about the universe that makes it even more special: looking up at it makes us see our life from another perspective.

PAINTING THE UNIVERSE HELPS ME TO BE AWARE OF MY POSITION WITHIN IT. MY PROBLEMS SEEM MINOR FROM its GIANT PERSPECTIVE AND MY TIME, THE TIME OF A HUMAN LIFE, A BRIEF GIFT THAT I MUST TAKE ADVANTAGE oF

Through my work I would like to open a small window to the universe in your home. A window to its forms, its densities and its luminosity that helps you connect with the present moment.

In order to do this I use as references the work of astro-photographers as well as images from entities such as NASA / ESA or the Hubble space telescope.

I like to work with different techniques, varying between acrylic and oil; In addition, I introduce elements such as the airbrush and play with porosity, three-dimensionality or phosphorescence. Creativity has no limits!

Through my paintings I've been able to move people by transmitting all that immensity that is out there. I would be grateful if I could do it for you!

MY EXPERIENCE HAS TAUGHT ME THAT OUR LIMITATIONS ARE ONLY IN OUR MIND AND, AS WE OVERCOME THEM, IT IS LIFE ITSELF THE ONE WHO GIVES YOU NICE OPPORTUNITIES. THAT'S WHY I INVITE YOU TO CHOOSE YOUR STAR, THE ONE WHO WILL GUIDE YOU TOWARDS YOUR DREAMS

There are already many people who have trusted me and have acquired some of my works, helping themselves to connect to the present
